Onapookkalam

Onapookkalam is displayed on the front side of the house made of different variety of colourful flowers made in a design to welcome the arrival Mahabali. Mahabali has got permission to visithis Kingdom Kerala once in a year from Vamana avthar of Mahavishnu to meet the devotees and enquire their wellness.

Wonderful feast

Wonderful feast consists of Boiled rice, Kheer made of Ada, variety of curries like koottukari, elisseri, olan, sambar, achar puliyinji, pappad, avial, kaalan, rasam, moru, varavu, mezhku puratti

All above dishes spread in Banana leaf.

The mightee look and taste of above dishes will shake the mind of anybody.

This Onam feast in Kerala is famously known as Onasadya.

Various Games

Games such as Pulikkali, Vallamkali, boatrace are also played by the people of Kerala during celebrations.

Dressing

Keralites on the Onam day prefers to wear ethnic wear like Mundu or Dhothi and golden brace with new and good looking pyjama or shirt for gents and ladies will wear set mundu white colour with golden colour pallu lines.

Trip to Beautiful places nearby in the evening.

Mahabali was a ruler of Kerala in a period when all the people were leading a life with trust, devotion, very economical, no untouchability and any other fraud actions of anybody, No theft and the people of Kerala enjoyed a lot during the period of Mahabali lived and ruled Kerala.
